Embryo, Week Two

Promised photo of quilt #1, two weeks into the project. All (!) that's left is the border and the quilting. Croopus, if novel-writing cantered along at this pace, what an author I would be!

FYI, every one of those cute little appliques has one thousand and one tiny blanket stitches around each piece. Never again!

(Note: this is not a baby quilt. It is just a quilt using Pottery Barn fabric I fell in love with. Who knows when/where/how I'll use it. But isn't it adorable, nonetheless?)

Oh my goodness. Such adorable owls and trees! You make me want to quilt.

Oh, and my word verification is "hufflus." Doesn't that have a storybook ring to it?

Way to go, Noel. Use it now, it's delightful. Did you listen to a few audiobooks with all that appliquing?

Thanks for the nods and smiles, guys! :)

And yes, I finished N.N. on those appliques, Sherry. So something good did come out of it. :)

This IS adorable! How big is it? Maybe lap-size for snuggling under to read?

I have to say I am very impressed that you have done all that applique so quickly. I might have finished one of them by now....

Actually, Miss Peach (hehe ... I'm thinking Mario Cart) it's 5 feet by seven feet, twin bed size. But still snuggable, for sure.

This week has been INSANE ... both sets of grandparents visiting, right after the other, and a million other things, so I haven't worked on it much. But there WILL be more pictures soon, I hope!
