Now That I'm Not Writing ...

... creative energy is practically dripping down my back.

Ergo, I've taken up sewing.

I abhorred sewing for seven long years in 4-H. But this month, for some strange, unfathomable reason, I'm adoring it. Perhaps because of my fabric:

Main fabric for quilt #1:

Main fabric for quilt #2:

That's right. TWO quilts. I already have the first one pieced. Since last week. And as soon as I'm done with the matryoshka quilt, I'll haul out The Jonah Bottle again. But this sewing break is absolutely wonderful. How weird.

There really IS something relaxing and satisfying about sewing! I don't know if it is the feel of the fabrics, or the challenge of putting everything together just right. I agree with Marie - I'd like to see shots of your finished product.

(Just discovered the blog - very interesting)

Don't worry, I'll be posting photos. Like a proud mother. :)

Thanks for stopping by, Augustina. May I say that of all the people who have ever commented on my blog, your name is the best?

The name is actually an alias I made up when I was joining the Harry Potter for Grownups group on Yahoo. I wanted something that sounded like it fit in the Potter universe. My real name is Greta Marlow -- which at least rhymes with Greta Garbo!
